Life After Dark - A Celebration of Art, Neighborhoods & Community
Join your community on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6-9PM, June - October 2008.

JULY 16TH: The Dorset Theater Festival will do a community performance on the Manchester Town Green in Celebration of Manchester's Historic Route 7A corridor. Men's night at Northeastern Jewelers from 6-9 offers men an opportunity to go behind the scenes with Breitling watch experts who will share how they create their stunning timepieces. Light refreshments, cool jazz and expert cigar rolling will add to the evening festivities.

AUGUST 20th: Celebrate Manchester Depot with a music and movement event at Lilia's Pilates on Richville Road followed by a neighborhood celebration featuring music, food, art demonstrations and more in Manchester's historic Depot.

SEPTEMBER 17TH: Join Historic Main Street for a Story Walk in Manchester's historic downtown district as stores share the story of PUMPKINS by Mary Lyn Ray. Get your pumpkin passport stamped and bring it to the Pumpkin Fest on October 18th to receive a free gift celebrating our fall harvest. Enjoy music, window shopping and our beautiful architectural past.

OCTOBER 15TH: Bill Laberge will host an open studio evening on Route 30 in Dorset. Demonstrations, music, artist demonstrations and local food will celebrate Dorset's cultural past and present.

Merck Forest & VINS Offer Fun Family Activities
Merck Forest & Farmland Center located in Rupert, VT has over 3,100 acres of fields and forest for land stewardship, education and outdoor recreation. Walking, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and camping(by reservation)are welcomed. Featuring a working farm with rare/heritage breed livestock, extensive organic vegetable and flower gardens, smartwood certified and organic Vermont maple syrup.

The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is a non-profit, member-supported environmental education organization. The VINS regional office in Manchester provides programs for schools and the public, and opportunities for citizens to participate in ecological research projects.
